Consultant Background and Qualifications: After gaining my tertiary qualifications in South Africa, I relocated to Scotland. I spent a few years in the United Kingdom, successfully managing a number of prominent hospitality businesses. I migrated to New Zealand in 2004 and spent my first year as the general manager of the Scenic Circle Fino Casementi all –suite hotel in Christchurch. Understanding the risks that businesses face every day and the measures needed to ensure continual growth assists in my ability to develop measures to protect my clients as they travel through the stages of life.

About me:
Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. I relocated to Scotland with my wife, Tina. We spent a few years living in the United Kingdom and travelling through Europe. It was always our plan as a couple to migrate to New Zealand, being fans of the Crusaders since the inception of Super 12 rugby we decided to move to Christchurch. It was a big change from life in London, but we enjoyed the relaxed life and decided to buy a house in North Canterbury.
Five years later we are enjoying everything life in New Zealand has to offer. We have two boys, Callum aged 4 and Aiden who was born in August 2009.
While working as a hotel manager in Christchurch I soon realised that the 24/7 work life was not why I came to New Zealand. I got into the sales and marketing field believing it would afford me more time with my family. It did give me this time however after two redundancies I realised I wanted a role whereby I interacted on a personal level with my community. My role as a consultant with Christchurch Insurance Centre enables me to assist New Zealand families with their wealth creation and family protection while still giving me the flexibility to spend time with my family.
What is different about me?
Well I am truly independent, I promise no portion of my business to any one provider. I deal with all the leading industry providers and offer a full financial plan for your lifestyle. I am just like you, a parent with mortgage repayments and childcare bills. Someone committed to putting their clients interests first. I personally have had policies in place to protect my family’s wellbeing long before deciding to advise and assist others with wealth creation and protecting their family’s lifestyle through the tough times. I continually increase my knowledge and promise to keep my clients informed of any changes that may affect them.
